Dark Horse Digital Android App Retired
As of March 25, 2024 the Dark Horse Digital app for Android will no longer be supported. After careful consideration we have determined that focusing our development resources in other areas is the best path forward for Dark Horse Digital.

Can I send digital comics as a gift?
Yes, you can now purchase gift codes that your friends and enemies can redeem! When you find that super cool book you want to share with the world, hit the “buy as gift” button and check out. You will then be given a redemption code that you can send out to a lucky recipient.
Why is (insert favorite comic) not available?
Comic licenses can sometimes move from publisher to publisher. This can even happen to us and when a license moves away from Dark Horse, we can no longer sell the digital comics. If you purchased any comics before the license left Dark Horse, fret not! They will remain in your Dark Horse Digital account. While these titles are no longer purchasable from our storefront, you can still view and read these digital comics from your bookshelf.
Can I send digital comics as a gift?
Yes, you can now purchase gift codes that your friends and enemies can redeem! When you find that super cool book you want to share with the world, hit the “buy as gift” button and check out. You will then be given a redemption code that you can send out to a lucky recipient.
Can I create a wishlist?
You bet you can! Add comics that have piqued your interest by hitting that star symbol on the cover image or the book's profile page and the digital book will show up on your WISHLIST PAGE. Using the share button, you can also pass this page along to any other humans, monsters, or robots. Hitting the share button will copy your wishlist page's URL, which you can send to whomever you choose. Or even post it on the old social media channels!
Where can I read my digital comics?
Just about anywhere! Once your Dark Horse Digital account has been created, you can access your purchases from any modern web browser, including mobile-device browsers, as well as the Dark Horse iOS aps. If you have an iOS device, please download the app and sign in to your Dark Horse Digital account. Once you are signed in you can download your digital comics and read them anywhere while offline.
How do I read my comics online?
Navigate to your digital bookshelf or find the digital comic you want to read and click the "Read Now" button below the book.
How do I use the comic reader?

Can I pre-order comics?
Yes! You can find comics available for pre-order on the home page in the section titled “UPCOMING RELEASES.” When we are able to offer pre-orders on upcoming comics you can reserve your copy simply by clicking the price button marked "pre-order." To pre-order you must have a DH Digital account set up and a credit card on file. On the day the comic goes on sale your card will be automatically charged and the comic will appear in your bookshelf. Pre-orders can be cancelled at any time prior to the date the pre-ordered product becomes available. By placing a pre-order, you agree that Dark Horse may charge your credit card on file when the products you have pre-ordered become available. Pre-ordered products are subject to all terms of service described in the general Terms of Service.
Where do I get the latest DH Digital news?
The Dark Horse Digital newsletter will keep you in the know about new releases, as well as special promotions and contests, plus give you access to insider info and a whole lot more! Just click here to subscribe or manage your existing subscription.
Do I own the digital comic I purchased?
Technically, you do not. As with Kindle, Nook, and other e-book companies, you don’t own the book you buy. You are licensing the right to read the book on supported and authorized devices.
Where can I buy print comics?
You can browse titles on the main Dark Horse website which will point you in the right direction. But wait, there’s another option! You can purchase comics through our sister company, Things From Another World.

How do I redeem store credit?
If you have a code for a free comic or an exclusive item, click here to go to the code redemption code page, where you can plug in your code and apply it your account directly. To redeem store credit, simply add one or more items to your shopping cart in the webstore. When you get to the first step of the Checkout process, you will be prompted to apply any store credit that exists in your account.
If your store credit is at least as large as your shopping cart, no credit card is required.
If your store credit is insufficient to cover the total cost, you will be prompted to use or enter a credit card on the next step of Checkout to cover the balance.
How do I redeem an exclusive comic redemption code?
If you have a code for an exclusive digital comic, you will need to create or sign in to your Dark Horse Digital account. Click here to go to the code redemption code page, where you can plug in your code and apply the exclusive comic your account directly.
How do I redeem a gift code?
If you were lucky enough to receive a gift code for a digital comic, you will need to create or sign in to your Dark Horse Digital account. Click here to go to the gift code redemption page, where you can enter your code and have the gifted digital comic added to your bookshelf.
How do I change my account information?
You can access your account and make any changes by clicking on the “My Account” link at the bottom of the page. Alternatively, if you hover your mouse over your account name on the top right of the page, a link to your account will appear on the drop-down menu.
How do I delete my Dark Horse Digital account?
No longer need your Dark Horse Digital account? Send us a message using the CONTACT US form and we can start the process for you.
What's with Dark Horse and Plants vs. Zombies?
Dark Horse has teamed up with PopCap Games to offer the first ever Plants vs. Zombies comic book series. Comics are available in all the usual Dark Horse venues, as well as in our exclusive Plants vs. Zombies iOS app. Download it today from the iTunes store!
Do my purchases in the Plants vs. Zombies app transfer to the main Dark Horse app?
Yes, and vice versa.
